PRODUCTION & MATERIALS
All of the jewelry is cast in New York City using, as much as possible, recycled gold.
All diamonds are either repurposed or conflict-free.
Although we do carry a limited stock of items, most of the pieces are made to order.
If you don't know your ring size, the best option is to visit your local jeweler and have them determine the size using a special ring sizer. If that is not an option (surprise gift!), there are many resources online for accurately determining a ring size.
In most instances we can resize your ring. However, because of the design or the placement of stones, not all requests can be accommodated.
If you need to resize an item, please contact us at email@example.com
Engraving is available on most rings. Character length and text style are determined by the size and width of the piece. Please note, all engraved pieces are non-returnable. For further information and pricing on engraving, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
As most pieces are made to order, a 3-4 week delivery time is standard, although deliveries often happen sooner.
You will receive confirmation of your order via email. When the order is ready to ship, you will receive a tracking number.
All shipping is done UPS and insured for the full value of the piece(s).
A signature will be required upon delivery. If you, or a designated person, are unable to sign for the package, please contact us at email@example.com
For orders placed within the United States, standard shipping will be $20 via UPS Ground. Insured Service with Signature Confirmation costs are included. For international orders, standard shipping will be via UPS International (transit time 3-5 business days, $65). All international packages are subjected to customs and duties once your order is delivered. Melissa Easton Jewelry is not responsible for those costs.
If you need your order sooner, or you have additional questions, please email at firstname.lastname@example.org
CARE of FINE JEWELRY
I rarely remove my jewelry, so I can't really say that I am practicing what I preach when it comes to the following. That said, here are some basic jewelry care tips:
Remove all jewelry when doing tasks that might scratch, stress or damage the piece, such as washing dishes, gardening and general housework.
Keep your jewelry away from cosmetics, hairsprays, make-up, lotions or any products that can cause build-up. always keep rubies and emeralds away from water as these stones are delicate and may have resin or wax.
Diamonds on open settings tend to get dirty quickly. we recommend cleaning them 2-3 times a year. To do this, fill a shallow container (a teacup works well) with hot water. Add a drop of mild hand soap and a bit of windex (or similar glass cleaner). Immerse the ring and let it sit for 5 minutes. Before removing the ring from the bath, swish it around. Once removed, rinse with plain water and tap dry with a cotton cloth.
Gold can tarnish when stored for a long period of time without being worn. Use a jewelry polishing cloth to keep pieces clean and polished. Rub the piece carefully to release the embedded cleaning agent. Do not use polishing cloths on delicate chains as they might snag or break.
To avoid tangles, store necklaces hanging or in individual small plastic zip seal bags. Keep the clasp out of the zipped area, so it does not get tangled. You can also keep rings and smaller pieces in individual bags when not being worn. Store earrings and backs locked together in pairs so they are easier to find.
All Melissa Easton Jewelry is made to order. For this reason, all sales are final.
In the rare case that a piece arrives damaged or defective, please contact us at email@example.com within 48 hours of receipt, and we will arrange for return shipping and repair of the item without a fee. Please wait for confirmation from us prior to returning your item.
Please note that because of the nature of cast jewelry, very occasionally a piece will break. We do our best to ensure that this won't happen, but sometimes it does. Due to this factor, we will happily repair any Melissa Easton Jewelry piece purchased through the online store. If the damage is due to mishandling or other circumstances, we will have to charge a fee for repair and shipping. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for a quote and further information.
Products purchased through another retailer must be returned to them in order to process the repair.
10K yellow gold is my material of choice. At this time, I don't typically do custom castings, but if you would prefer a piece made from another metal, please contact us at email@example.com for a quote and further information.
